Liz has been in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years. To complement her knowledge of the hairdressing industry, Liz is a qualified Trichologist and registered member of the International Association of Trichologists. Trichology is a specialty that identifies and treats hair loss and scalp problems, and Liz is proud to be able to offer these services to anyone who has concerns, and in doing so is more than happy to talk with their personal hairdresser in strict confidence.

She has specialised training in curly hair care, excelling in cutting techniques tailored to enhance natural curl patterns and teaching clients how to maintain and style their unique textures. Her dream is to help clients embrace their natural beauty while keeping their hair healthy and vibrant.
Luka Jones
Luka, a bright and passionate first-year apprentice at About Hair Mackay, is embarking on an exciting journey in the world of hairdressing. WIth a natural curiosity and a deep love for hair care, she is eager to learn and grow, bringing a fresh perspective and energy to the team. Luka’s enthusiasm extends beyond just the technical skills of hairdressing - she’s genuinely interested in the stories clients share and the connections she builds with them, finding inspiration in every interaction.
